Synopsis: Established in the Middle East in 1942, the Sacred Squadron fought in the Western Desert and Aegean, as well as in Tunisia during the Second World War. It was composed of Greek officers under the command of Col. Christodoulos Tsigantes and fought alongside the SAS and SBS in the region, without knowing defeat!
The unit’s flag was awarded Greece’s highest military awards, the Commander’s Cross of the Cross of Valour and the War Cross First Class.
