Leen Karadsheh is an Emmy Award–nominated film producer and the Head of Originals at Sowt Media, where she leads the development of flagship regional storytelling projects. Her work has premiered on HBO, PBS Frontline, and Amazon Prime. Leen’s projects span investigative, political, and character-driven narratives, from following the self-help group NXIVM for HBO’s The Vow, to unpacking the four-decade feud between Saudi Arabia and Iran in PBS Frontline’s Bitter Rivals, to adapting the New York Times bestseller The Badass Librarians of Timbuktu into a feature chronicling the effort to save ancient Arabic manuscripts from extremist threats.
She produced Amazon Prime’s Flight/Risk, an investigation into the Boeing 737 MAX crashes that resulted in an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Investigative Documentary, and oversaw animations and VFX for HBO’s The Vow (Season Two). She also produced DEFIANT, a feature documentary following key members of President Zelensky’s cabinet as they navigate wartime diplomacy during the first 18 months of the invasion. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023.
